Please help us welcome Mrs. Anna Sandel as the new Assistant Principal at Three Rivers Elementary School!
Mrs. Sandel is entering her 21st year in education and brings a wealth of experience, leadership, and passion for students. Originally from Natchez, she and her husband, Matthew, have two wonderful children, Cameron and Catesby. Cameron, a senior at West Harrison High School, will continue his education at Southwest Mississippi Community College on a baseball scholarship, while Catesby is a freshman at West Harrison and participated in volleyball and cheer this year.
Mrs. Sandel began her career in the Biloxi School District, where she gained experience teaching students across a wide range of grade levels including 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 6th, 9th, and 12th grade. She later joined the Harrison County School District, teaching 3rd grade ELA at West Wortham before serving the past three years as instructional coach at Lizana Elementary.
She recently earned her Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from William Carey University and is excited to begin this new journey at Three Rivers.
Mrs. Sandel shared:
“I’m so excited to be joining Three Rivers as the new Assistant Principal! After meeting some of the staff, it’s clear that Three Rivers is a school full of caring, dedicated people who put students first. I can’t wait to meet all of the students, support the amazing teachers, and partner with families as we make next year a fantastic one. I am looking forward to all that’s ahead!”
We are thrilled to welcome Mrs. Sandel to the TRE family! 🐬💙

Three Rivers Elementary loved welcoming the Class of 2026 back home for their Senior Walk! It was so special seeing these students return to where their journey began and celebrating all they have accomplished through the years.🎓
Our students and staff enjoyed cheering on the seniors as they walked the halls of TRE once again. No matter how much they grow, TRE will always love and support our students.✨
We were especially honored to celebrate and remember CJ Fairly. Gone too soon, but never forgotten.💙
