Join Us to Celebrate Local School History at the Gulfport Museum!
Gulfport, MS β The Gulfport Museum invites the community to a special event dedicated to celebrating the history of the Gulfport Schools. Join us on June 12th from 10 AM to 2 PM for a day filled with nostalgia, stories, and connection.
This event encourages attendees to bring their cherished photographs to be scanned, ensuring that our local school history is preserved for future generations. Additionally, students from Pass Road Elementary & Central Elementary QUEST Camp Explorers of Excellence: STEAM Adventures for Gifted and Talented Kids will conduct on-the-spot interviews, gathering stories and insights from community members about their experiences in local schools, including sharing memories of historical schools, legacy football or basketball state championships, and favorite teachers.
"This is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together, share their unique stories, and contribute to our rich heritage," said Melanie Davis, Director of the camp. "We are excited to see how our past shapes our future."
Donβt miss your chance to connect with fellow community members, celebrate the legacy of our local schools, and help preserve our heritage by telling your story.

On the last day of school, students in Mr. Boykinβs Social Studies Class showcased their creativity through a special project by designing state-inspired hoodies based on a U.S. state of their choice. Students researched important facts, symbols, and features of their selected state and transformed their learning into beautifully designed hoodie creations. The top three designs were selected and rewarded with GHS Admiral merchandise. We are so proud of their hard work, creativity, and research skills!

Exciting news from Central Elementary Quest 4th and 5th graders!
Today, we proudly celebrated the ribbon cutting and unveiling of the Hammock Garden, a fantastic legacy project created by our talented Quest 5th grade students!
This unique space is designed for learning and fun, featuring signs with QR codes that allow our emerging readers to enjoy books read aloud to them.
In a wonderful display of mentorship, our amazing 4th and 5th grade Quest students read to their 1st grade friends while lounging in the hammocks. This outdoor classroom experience is all about making learning enjoyable and engaging!
Thank you to everyone who contributed to this project. Here's to many more joyful learning moments in our Hammock Garden!

Last Tuesday, we celebrated the retirement of another one of our amazing custodians, Mrs. Linda Duckworth, who we lovingly refer to as "Mrs. Duck." After only a week, her presence is already being missed in our building. Her hard work and dedication really helped in keeping our halls clean and bright! We wish her a blessed and restful retirement. ππ§‘
