Letter of Appreciation: Coach Adrian Dodson

Coach Adrian Dodson is one of the greatest men I have ever met. He works as a P.E. coach at an elementary school and supervises a physical fitness camp during the summer.

I first met Coach Dodson in the 4th grade at his summer camp. When he met me, he said, *“You’re gonna be a great athlete someday.”* At the time, I didn't even know what an athlete was—I just wanted to go home and read a book. Over time, however, I realized just how right he was. People often say that you should try your best at everything, but Coach Dodson is the only person I have ever met who truly lives that philosophy every single day.

He inspired me to become the best athlete I could be, and over the course of that summer, the results spoke for themselves. After completing:

* Mile runs
* 5K runs
* Swimming sessions
* Weight training
* Intense dodgeball tournaments
..I went home a changed person. That same year, I tried out for football for the very first time.

Whenever I see Coach Dodson, I think of all the people he has helped mature into better athletes and stronger individuals. Whether he is pushing top runners to compete against one another or offering moral support to a non-athletic young boy who would rather be anywhere else, Coach Dodson leads by example. He is someone I truly admire.

Another Fans Camp Success Story!!!

I just wanted to say thank you to you and your staff for everything you’ve done this summer. The kids have had an absolute blast and looked forward to coming every single day. Their favorite stories are always about the dodgeball tournaments and Gaga ball, but they’ve genuinely enjoyed all of the different activities.

As a parent, one of my favorite things has been picking them up and seeing their faces red and sweaty from being so active all day. It’s been such a great experience for them. They’ve already been asking if they can come back next year because they loved it so much!

Thank you for the positive impact FANS Camp has had on their summer. We truly appreciate all the time and effort you and your staff have put into making it such a fun and memorable experience. We’ll definitely be back next year!
