In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week 🥰 a little bit about the teacher!

👩🏻‍🏫 5 years in education
🏫 3 schools of my own, and multiple subbed at!
🗺 2 districts (multiple subbed at)
🍎 3 classrooms of my own, multiple classrooms subbed in
👩🏼‍🏫 Grades taught: 1 year old room teacher in daycare, K(assistant teacher/student taught), 2, 5, and multiple grade levels subbed through high school!
💼 Principals: 3
👱‍♀️ Students taught: Too many to count, but they all have a piece of my heart ❤️
🌎 States taught: 1
✏️ Certified: K-6 & endorsements in 7-12 social studies & 7-12 science
📜 Highest degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education

And now I have my own home learning center for littles 🥹🫶 while I will admit that I miss being at school sometimes, I am so thankful and blessed that I get to enjoy this time doing what I love- educating kiddos- and spending time with my Luke and all his friends in my own home 💙

Dear Parents/Guardians,

I hope this message finds you well. It's with a heartfelt mix of emotions that I share some important updates with you about Gabby's Schoolhouse.

Firstly, I want to extend my deepest gratitude for your unwavering support and trust in our educational journey together. Your dedication to your children's growth and development means the world to me. However, I must share some difficult news.

After much reflection and consideration, I've made the tough decision to indefinitely suspend our tutoring services here at Gabby's Schoolhouse. This decision wasn't easy, but it's necessary for the well-being of our daycare program and my own family's needs.

Please understand that while tutoring services are on pause, it doesn't mean our commitment to your child's learning stops. I'm more than happy to help connect you with other local tutors or educators who can continue to nurture your child's love for learning during this transition.

Now, I want to share some positive adjustments to our daycare program:
1. Extended Availability:
Gabby's Schoolhouse will now offer daycare services until 5:00 PM, giving you more flexibility in your schedule. Your child may stick with our current hours (8:00 AM to 2:00 PM) for the current pricing, or they may stay for extended hours with a price adjustment that we can discuss.

2. Necessary Scheduling Updates: To ensure smooth operations and better serve each family's needs, I kindly ask for a more consistent schedule from everyone. This not only helps me provide better care but also ensures that I don't miss out on potential enrollments due to uncertainty about availability and open spots. When I have students attend different days each week it is difficult to know which days I have more spots, thus limiting enrollment. A typical weekly attendance would be incredibly helpful. (For example, student will be attending M-W 8-2 every week, or M W F every week.) I totally understand emergencies or illness, so will continue working with you if your child is absent or needs to switch days if I have spots. 🤍
