I'm Michael Hendrickson the Coast's favorite youth golfer! I have been playing golf 3 years, and have discovered my passion for the sport. Who knew that summer day when I jumped the back fence with my dad’s golf clubs I would discover my WHY? Just a few short 4 months later I gave up my position on the baseball team and became the number one player at Gulfport High. I had never had a golf lesson b

efore, just watched the Golf Channel and practiced hours a day! Now in my junior year at Gulfport High I look forward to leading my team this year and mentoring all our new young players. More kids need to be exposed to golf and discover for themselves a sport that requires not only physical skill but mental toughness. Learning good sportsmanship and integrity are vital to the game of golf. As the Junior Gulf Coast Amateur Champion for the past two years, I can’t wait to TEE IT UP with the Gulf Coast youth.
