What a way to welcome everyone back. 💚💛

The Honorable Amelia G. Govan Chapter of the Black Law Students Association kicked off the year with our 2026 Welcome Back BBQ, bringing together students, alumni, faculty, staff, community partners, and friends for an afternoon centered on connection, community, and building relationships beyond the classroom. ⚖️

We were so excited to see such an incredible turnout and a packed room filled with good food, new introductions, familiar faces, raffles, networking, and plenty of BLSA energy. 🔥

Thank you to every sponsor, community partner, donor, volunteer, supporter, and attendee who helped make this event possible. Most importantly, thank you to everyone who showed up ready to connect and help us start the year strong.

Choose the shift that works best for you:

🛠️ Setup: 12:00–2:00 PM
🤝🏾 Event Support: 2:00–6:00 PM
🧹 Cleanup: 6:00–8:00 PM

Volunteer for one shift or multiple. No committee commitment required.

As law students and future members of the legal profession, we understand that justice requires more than words … it requires continued advocacy, service, accountability, and action.
