Meet our newest North Gulfport team member, Ms. Nitesha Pierce! Here is a little bit about her.
My name is Nitesha Pierce, born and raised in Gulfport, Mississippi, and I am a proud graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. I later obtained a Master of Arts in Teaching from Belhaven University. I come from a close-knit family and have two sisters. A lifelong sports enthusiast, I enjoy all things sports and began my career in coaching in 2015 as a basketball coach. In 2022, I became a special education teacher and have been passionate about making a difference in students' lives ever since. I’m excited to begin my new journey as a 7th grade Inclusion teacher and coach at North Gulfport School and look forward to continuing to support and inspire students.

Meet our newest North Gulfport team member, Mr. Leon Farmer! Here is a little bit about him.
With 17 years of experience in education, Mr. Farmer has served students at Crossroads Elementary, Harrison County Alternative School, and West Harrison High School. Passionate about faith, family, and baseball, he is committed to helping students succeed both academically and personally. He and his wife are proud parents of two children. When he is not teaching, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, coaching baseball, and training athletes in the community.

Meet our newest North Gulfport team member, Ms. Megan Houghton-Meyer! Here is a little bit about her.
Ms. Houghton-Meyer earned her bachelor's degree from Mississippi College, her master's degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, and her specialist degree from William Carey University. She is currently working toward her doctorate degree. With 15 years in education, she is passionate about helping students grow, learn, and succeed. She is excited to return to North Gulfport Elementary and Middle School and looks forward to building strong relationships and creating opportunities for students, staff, and families to thrive.

Meet our newest North Gulfport team member, Mrs. Johna Necaise! Here is a little bit about her.

Johna Necaise is a first-year 7th-grade English Language Arts teacher whose lifelong love of English and literature inspired her to pursue a career in education. She is dedicated to helping students develop strong reading, writing, and critical-thinking skills while fostering a passion for learning in the classroom.

Johna is currently pursuing a master's degree in Education at William Carey University, furthering her commitment to educational excellence and professional growth. Outside of her career, she has been happily married to her husband for 15 years and is the proud mother of their 13-year-old son, Levi. Johna values faith, family, and education and strives to make a positive impact on the lives of her students every day.

Meet our newest North Gulfport team member, Ms. Eboni Hicks McClain! Here is a little bit about her.
Hi, I'm Eboni Hicks McClain! I'm a proud teacher, mom, and family-oriented person who loves helping others and making meaningful connections. I am passionate about helping students learn, grow, and reach their full potential. I believe in creating a positive and supportive learning environment where every child can succeed. Beyond the classroom, I enjoy supporting my family, celebrating special milestones, and using my creativity to design memorable keepsakes. My goal is to make a lasting impact on the lives of others through education, encouragement, and service.

Meet our newest North Gulfport team member, Ms. Foster! Here is a little bit about her.
My name is Najah Foster. I have my bachelor’s degree in Information and Library Science, and I worked as a youth services librarian for 4 years in the Harrison County Library System. I decided to go into education and get my master’s degree through the University of Southern Mississippi. I have a loving fiancé, Eric, and a 3-year-old cat named October! I like to spend my days reading, enjoying time with friends, and doing an occasional craft. I can't wait to start my journey as an ELA teacher at North Gulfport!

North Gulfport Registration Fair

Join us on July 20th from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Coastal Family Health Center will be on campus to provide required vaccines and sports physicals (if needed). Please preregister for vaccines to guarantee availability.

📚✨ Student Registration Opening Soon for the 2026–27 School Year! ✨📚

We are excited to announce that online registration for new and returning students in the Harrison County School District for the 2026–2027 school year will open on Thursday, June 11, 2026!

Families are encouraged to register early to secure their student's enrollment and help us prepare for another successful year of learning and growth. The registration window is from June 11 to July 23.
