Join us in congratulating Mrs. Georgette Braselman on her new role as Principal of Orange Grove Elementary School! 🎉

Mrs. Braselman began her career in education in 1993 after earning a Bachelor of Arts in English Education from McNeese State University. She later earned a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Phoenix in 2005 and completed her Principal Certification through Lamar University in 2016.

A native of South Louisiana, Mrs. Braselman brings more than two decades of educational experience to her leadership role. After 13 years in the classroom, she transitioned into administration, where she has spent the past nine years supporting student achievement, effective instruction, and school improvement. Prior to joining HCSD, she served at Breaux Bridge High School as English Department Head, ELA District Teacher Leader, and Assistant Principal of Academics and Curriculum. In recognition of her dedication and impact, she was named "Teacher of the Year" for the 2014–2015 school year.

Since joining HCSD in 2020, Mrs. Braselman has served in a variety of leadership roles, including Instructional Coach at Harrison Central High School, Assistant Principal and Principal at North Gulfport Elementary & Middle School, and Assistant Principal at Orange Grove Elementary. She remains committed to fostering academic success, building strong school communities, and supporting both students and staff.

Mrs. Braselman and her husband, Matthew, are proud parents of five children and grandparents to three granddaughters.

We are excited to announce that online registration for new and returning students in the Harrison County School District for the 2026–2027 school year will open on Thursday, June 11, 2026!

Families are encouraged to register early to secure their student's enrollment and help us prepare for another successful year of learning and growth. The registration window is from June 11 to July 23.
