Usually you hear benefits of tutoring as getting better in the subject in question. While that's true, there's specific benefits to virtual tutoring that directly benefits the student and their family:
Convenience from the comfort of your home with flexibility!
Personalization to each student without a classroom barrier!
Access to digital resources, without elbows blocking the way!
Cost and time effectiveness by eliminating roadblocks that in-person tutoring has!
I could go on and on, but why not hear it straight from me in a tutoring session? To book with me or if you have any questions, please reach out at the contact info imaged, or by messaging me here!

Well hello, all, long time no see! I'm revamping my page as I am officially a 100% virtual SAT/ACT math section tutor! As much as I love Algebra in all of it's straight forward goodness, I'm honing in my skills so that I can better help those students trying to get a better score for secondary education while also having a good work/life balance.
With this being said, here's my information! $50/hour for ACT/SAT math section assistance. I have a strong mathematics background, and my personal ACT score is the sole reason that I am as debt-free as I am from college.
For scheduling and any questions, please reach out to me at my contact information listed. Overall, I plan on posting more frequently with general math assistance, math jokes, and well, everything math related. Thank you for your time, all!

Good afternoon, all! I hope the school year wasn't too rough on students and guardians alike. With the school year wrapping up, it's time for me to announce to the public: Summer SAT sessions!
For all information, please see the poster below. I will only be taking 10 LIVE-SESSION students, but I will take on unlimited students to have access to my recordings + worksheet materials. As this is a virtual summer set-up, these students can come from anywhere!
Classes start in one week, so reach out soon for a live spot! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out at my contact info below or from my page. Thank you!

I have been doing virtual-only sessions this week as flu cases rise. Sadly, I'm one of those cases. Please make sure to wash your hands and remind your loved ones to.
For students who are affected, being sick and still having to learn new material and review a term's worth of material can be overwhelming. Remember to let your students take good breaks, encourage them to change up their study methods (not habits), and allow them to get plenty of rest.

As we get further into the final month of the term, it's important to remember that what you do now is going to show in the future. This is my favorite quote that reminds me that if we do not look to make change in the now, then there will be no change in the future.
In terms of math and tutoring, it makes me inexplicably happy to see real-time change within a student in regard to their attitude about the lesson or the understanding they achieve while in a session. When working with your students or child/children, remind them that every effort given will have a positive impact to some degree, even if the effort isn't 100%. Hope all is well!

Final month for the semester/second nine weeks, y'all! Now is the perfect time to make sure study time is as efficient and "with your flow" as possible. When studying, make sure that your student is taking breaks that align with how much they study. Before they take these breaks, try to encourage associating each step of solving one of the problems with a name (associative property, using PEMDAS, etc.). Your student shouldn't worry about their work while on their break, but when they go back, encourage associating something they saw with what they're working on.
Overall, this will be a very eventful month for both educators and students alike, let alone guardians of students! If your student is needing a study session, please do reach out. Times are busy, but cancellations are also plentiful with the busy time. Hope all is well, and a Happy Monday to all!

I used to be a "math-resistant" student. I would go to my Algebra class, sit in the back at the table with my friends, and try my best to NOT pay attention because the lesson always made me get a headache. These are tips that helped me in my later math classes and are what has helped me grow into a tutor!
