Seniors & Parents, please join us at 5:30 pm on November 1st in the Gulf Shores High School Library for help with the college admission process and FAFSA completion. We want our seniors to have a post-secondary plan! Representatives from The University of South Alabama and from Coastal Alabama Community College will also be on hand to help.

Congratulations to Virtual Academy senior Kaysheri Haffner for being named an AP Scholar with Honors!

Congratulations to our 2022 Gulf Shores High School AP Scholars--we have 21 total this year! Go Dolphins!

The AP Program recognizes high school students who have demonstrated outstanding college-level achievement through their performance on multiple AP exams.

AP SCHOLAR is granted to students who receive scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP exams.

AP SCHOLAR with HONORS is granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams.

AP SCHOLAR with DISTINCTION is granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams.

Students in the Virtual Academy have the option to participate in our blended learning option and take classes on ACCESS, in person at GSHS and dual enrollment college through numerous Universities! We are so proud of 10th grade Virtual Academy student Cade! He received the Island Spirit Award for his enthusiasm and hard work. Cade is a blended virtual student who works full time while also taking some of his classes online and some classes on campus at Gulf Shores High School. He also participates in the University of Alabama Early College program.
