Coach Colin brings a wide variety of experience both as a player and as a coach and has coached athletes of all ages from primary school to college. He has worked multiple years coaching at both Navarre United and Navarre High School and enjoys fostering opportunities to help student athletes grow both on and off the field! 💚 He will be an exceptional role model for our Canes AND can even help them with their science and math homework! 😎

Please help us welcome Coach Leo to our Cane Family!!! 🎉🌀 Coach Leo currently serves as a competitive coach for Gulf Breeze Futbol Academy and brings more than 15 years of competitive youth coaching experience! ⚽️

Originally from São Paulo, Brazil, Coach Leo moved to the United States on a soccer scholarship. As an athlete himself, he was a two-time NAIA All-American, earned the Golden Boot Award multiple years, was named Conference Player of the Week multiple times, and led his region in goals and assists per game. He also earned CCAC Player of the Week honors multiple times and was a two-time NAIA All-American Honorable Mention. In addition to his soccer background, Coach Leo proudly served in the U.S. Army. 🇺🇸 Throughout his career, he has built a reputation for transforming developing teams into highly competitive programs and helping players reach their full potential both as athletes and individuals.

Mrs. Wood (Asst. Principal at East Bay K-8) and I (Mrs. Windfelder) graduated from the Florida Department of Education Chancellor’s Leadership Academy this week!!! 🎉🎉🎉

The purpose of the Academy is to build and sustain a statewide network of instructional leaders committed to strengthening high-quality instruction. ☀️

We had the pleasure of networking and learning alongside approximately 150 amazing leaders all the way from Pensacola to the Florida Keys over the past eight months, visited multiple schools across five counties here in the panhandle, and honed in on our vision for instruction, coaching, and learning. 😎

Yay for graduation!!! 🎉

Please help us welcome Mrs. Brenna Millikan to our team!!! 🎉🌀 Mrs. Millikan is moving to the area from Colorado where she has been serving for several years as a high school athletic secretary and coaching softball! Her eldest son just played in the Colorado 5A State Baseball Championship and will be playing college ball here in the south, and her youngest son will be joining her at SHS! 💚

We can’t wait for her to be greeting families in the front office and assisting with all things athletics! Mrs. Millikan will work directly with our Athletic Director Coach Tribit and is looking forward to getting plugged in at the end of the summer! ☀️

Attention ALL SHS ‘Canes student athletes:

The time has finally come, and Home Campus is now up and running with Athletic Clearance for Soundside High School. Please go to athleticclearance.com (or use link below), click on the Florida icon, MAKE SURE YOU’RE SIGNING UP FOR 2026-2027!!

Then create your accounts, and start uploading all of your documents: Including your EL1; page #4 of your EL2; your Pre-participation Notary Form with insurance info; Community School Form; FormD; C3 logic registration; and your 4 NFHSLearn Certificates. If you are a sophomore this fall or a non-traditional student (homeschool, charter, private or choice), you will also have to upload a GA4 (available on the “Parents” tab of FHSAA.com). There may be others that will have different documentation needed, but we’ll sort through that. 

You have to sign off on the release and consent statements (along with a parent/guardian), and complete the registration all the way through the “confirmation“ in order to cleared.

Sincere apologies for the confusion with the registration process. We had to wait until our membership with the FHSAA was finalized (which didn’t happen until Friday) before we could activate Home Campus. Moving forward, this is the only way we will clear student athletes for participation. I know some of you will have gone through this process twice and unfortunately, that was unavoidable as we mentioned in the interest meeting back in March if you were in attendance. But again, this will be a smoother process moving forward.
