🌧️🌀 Severe Weather Reminder 🌀🌧️

Good evening, families!

As we enter the peak of hurricane season, we wanted to send out a quick reminder about our severe weather procedures.

Good Shepherd Lutheran School follows the decisions made by the Santa Rosa County School Board regarding school closures due to severe weather. If Santa Rosa County Schools are required to close because of a hurricane, tropical storm, flooding, severe weather, or other weather-related safety concern, Good Shepherd must close as well.

We understand that weather closures can sometimes be inconvenient for families, but these decisions are made with the safety of our students, families, and staff in mind. 💛

If a closure or schedule change occurs, we will communicate with our families through Brightwheel as soon as information becomes available.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Please stay safe as we make our way through hurricane season! 🌀💙

A few weeks in, and our Superstars are already showing us what they’re made of!

We’re learning our routines, figuring out how our classroom works, making new friends, and discovering all kinds of new things. There have been lots of giggles, a little bit of “learning how to share,” and plenty of fun along the way!

Our littlest learners are growing, learning, and becoming quite the little Superstars. We’re so glad they’re here!

Introducing our 1st grade teacher! We are excited to have her with us! Ms. Brittany!
Hi, I’m Ms. Brittany, and I’m so excited to be your child’s first-grade teacher! With over 10 years of experience working with children, I look forward to creating a fun, caring, and engaging classroom where every student can learn and grow.

When I’m not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my two children, cheering at the baseball field, and enjoying sunny days at the beach.

I am excited to get to know each of my students and their families as we learn, grow, and make lasting memories together.

Introducing our 4th & 5th grade teacher- Mr. Ferguson! We are delighted to have him on our team!

Born in Texas, I moved to Gulf Breeze when I was 5 and lived here until I moved to Orlando in the 4th grade. I love the ocean, so after college I left central Florida and moved back to be near Pensacola beach. If I’m not at work or the beach, I’m usually spending time with my wife or my dog, Winston. I’m excited to meet my 2026-2027 learners and am looking forward to a great year together!
Likes: Star Wars, history, and scuba diving.
Dislikes: Lightning, late homework, and pickles.

My life verse is Romans 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile".
