Yeah, me too. In fact, I've even said it myself. But let me tell you plainly:

It’s simply NOT TRUE.

Yes, you'll dive—but it’s WORK, friends, real work.

Now, is it better than a lot of other jobs?
Absolutely—I LOVE diving. But here’s where that thinking fails:

✅ 1. It's WORK (Rewarding, but still work!)
✅ 2. The pay is often LESS than teenagers make in part-time jobs.
✅ 3. Owning a dive shop often means working hard to barely scrape by. FACT.
✅ 4. Diving “for free” is NOT a good reason to go pro.
✅ 5. The RIGHT reason? You genuinely LOVE teaching, coaching, and sharing diving with others.
✅ 6. You MUST learn how to sustainably earn real money—not struggle financially doing what you love.
✅ 7. The few dive shops thriving today got lucky: right place, right time, or owners already retired with other income streams. FACT.

It's been a little while since I posted here.

Most of you know we had to move the shop and shut it down at least the retail portion for the time being.
I am still teaching but am also still doing marketing services and offering Coaching services to businesses and Entrepreneurs.

So I am offering a new service that I have not seen in the SCUBA industry and is much needed.

Those that want to move into a Professional SCUBA certification are not at all prepared or trained for the any part of it especially the business side of it.

This is where we want to help you.

Even doing the ITC/IDC for Instructor certification is a mystery until you actually start the actual ITC/IDC and preparation is mostly non existent.

So My goal is to offer Professional SCUBA business and training Coaching services.

If you want to move into the business of SCUBA whether it is to be a Divemaster, Instructor or a dive shop owner I want to offer you a Coaching service to prepare you for any or all of the above.

Made some good memories yesterday. Cost me every dime I have and poor Kellen is sick now with what Christina and I have but it was worth it. Now to try and figure out how to pay bills LOL
Oh and what I spend wasn't that much but again worth it
