Please pay close attention to the traffic pattern around Marion County High School during school drop-off and pick-up times.

🕖 7:00–8:00 AM
🕝 2:30–3:30 PM

During these times, the parking lot is ENTER ONLY in the designated direction shown on the map. There is NO EXIT from that entrance.

Please:
➡️ Follow the posted traffic pattern
🚗 Yield and watch for oncoming traffic
🛑 Do not block traffic or entrances
👀 SLOW DOWN and watch carefully for students and pedestrians
🚸 Be patient and allow everyone to get through safely

🚌🚓STOP for the bus, so you don’t get stopped by us! 🚌🚓

In Alabama, the law (32A-5A-154) requires you to stop when the bus’s red lights, and stop sign are activated.

🛑Two-Lane Roads
•RULE: Traffic in both directions must stop.

*Details: Drivers approaching from the front or following behind must come to a complete stop and remain stationary until the bus moves or retracts its stop arm.

🛑 Multi-Lane Undivided Roads
•RULE: All lanes of traffic must stop.

*Details: This rule applies to four-lane roads, six-lane roads, and roads with a center turning lane. A center turning lane is not considered a physical barrier, meaning oncoming traffic is still required to stop.

🛑Divided Highways
• RULE: Only traffic following the bus must stop.

*Details: Drivers traveling in the opposite direction on a highway separated by a •physical barrier•(such as a concrete wall, guardrail, or grass median) are not required to stop, though they should proceed with caution.
