I’m building her medial cheek at the superficial layer using a cannula with RHA 3. Watch this blend beautifully with the work we just did using contour on her lateral cheek. With a cannula, you need to drop, glide, and continuously reposition to distribute product evenly. Want to improve your cannula technique? Ready to master your cannula technique? We demo with cannula during every Level Up course, and students always love practicing this. When you get comfortable using a cannula, you’re able to blend large areas and deposit continuous lines of filler, leading to much smoother results. Kati, Heather, Bianca, and Elie spend their days treating patients and their weekends teaching the next generation of injectors—and watching them in action this weekend was something special.

What makes this team so incredible isn’t just how much they know. It’s how willing they are to share it. They watch every hand placement. Every needle angle. Every injection. They step in, correct, explain, demonstrate, and make sure our students understand not just how to do something, but why.

They bring different backgrounds, experiences, and strengths to the classroom, but they all share the same commitment to patient safety, anatomy, thoughtful treatment planning, and natural results.

We’re incredibly proud of the faculty we’ve built at Level Up—and even more proud that these are the same providers caring for our patients every day at Clarity.

This is exactly what I’m watching when I teach you to inject.

Dr. Syed has taken multiple courses with us, and I always love having her back. Here, I’m walking her through an aspiration at the piriform and watching every detail: needle depth, hand placement, speed of injection, the hub of the needle, and most importantly, making sure she stays slow and steady.

Small movements matter. If you lift the tip of your needle, you change your depth and potentially your placement. That’s why I’m constantly watching your hands and correcting you in real time.

My advice is always the same: keep practicing. Stay steady. Pay attention to the details until they become second nature.

I’m so excited to do this all over again with our next class of students this Sunday. See you in the lab! 💉

Most injectors don’t know how to use threads—and I hear all the time that “threads don’t work.”

They do. But depth matters.

If your threads aren’t placed in the correct tissue plane, you’re not going to get the lift or support you’re looking for.

I’ve been working with and teaching threads for years, and I actually hold a patent for my own thread technique. In this case, I’m using threads to create definition and support along a male jawline while keeping the result natural and masculine.

Threads can be an incredibly useful tool when you understand the anatomy, the right patient, and exactly where to place them.
