I am truly humbled to be recognized by Assemblymember Assemblymember Gabriella A. Romero as one of this year’s Women of Distinction.
Looking at this year’s honorees, I am incredibly honored to stand alongside a fierce group of women whose leadership, service, and advocacy have strengthened our Capital Region, and especially my friend Amanda Beedle for Guilderland Town Board (Amanda Grace.) Many of these women have broken barriers, uplifted their communities, and opened doors for others. Throughout my career, I have tried to use whatever platform I have to amplify the voices of women and people from historically underrepresented communities because our communities are strongest when everyone’s voice is heard. Their accomplishments deserve to be celebrated, and I am proud to celebrate with them.
Public service has never been about recognition. It’s about showing up, listening, solving problems, and leaving our community better than we found it. Whether serving on the Guilderland Central School District Board of Education, working in county government, volunteering, or supporting causes I believe in, I am grateful for every opportunity to serve and learn from others.

Finally, thank you to everyone who has trusted me, challenged me, encouraged me, and believed in me along the way. This recognition is one I’ll carry with gratitude.
Service isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about continuing to learn, listening with empathy, and working every day to build a community where every child, every family, and every neighbor has the opportunity to succeed. I hope to continue living up to that calling for many years to come.
