Guffey Community Charter School

Wednesday, October 14, at 4pm is this year’s annual Open House at Guffey Community Charter School! We cordially invite everyone to come to our school, sit in on this month’s board meeting and take a tour of the classrooms. You’ll be able to get a first hand look at what we’ve been up to this year at the Guffey School! See you there!

We are kicking off the month of October with an all school Read-a-thon! Our students have a goal of acquiring sponsors and reading 300 pages over the month of October. The funds raised from the read-a-thon will help pay for the many field trips we have planned for this school year. Please consider sponsoring a student(s). You may sponsor on a per page read or a total amount, whatever works for you! If you have any questions, please send me a message or email at [email protected]

Please also remember that Saturday Oct. 3 is the last day for the Guffey Farmer’s Market.

Guffey school’s students, staff, and parents took a field trip to the Guffey Gorge as we continually connect with our community and local environment.

Quick reminders:
Guffey’s Farmer’s Market only has 2 Saturdays left in this season. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to support our local school, artisans, and crafters.
Playgroup is every Wednesday from 10-12, for all children ages birth to 4 years.

The Guffey Community Charter School cannot thank Black Mountain Family Reunion enough for the generous donation! This is a beautiful event held every year where our family and community gather and enjoy some great music and each other’s company. Thank you again to all of this year’s sponsors and participants. We are humbled to receive this donation!

Wow! Thanks to this incredible crew and our sponsors, Horsetooth Tavern, Pure Love Carpentry, Fairley Creative, Saddle Up Realty, Sundance Leather, Freshwater Saloon, Restless Mountain, Diamond Z Ranch, Guffey Bakery, Highside Brewing, Broken Compass Brewing, Breckenridge Distillery, and every one else, we were able to donate $3000 to the Fire Dept AND $3000 to the Guffey school.!!

Treasuring our countryside and community is a small part of Guffey Community Charter School’s mission statement. Our students lived by that example during Town Clean Up Day. Thank you Mountain Aries Market for the yummy ice cream sandwiches 🥪.
