🏺 Bartering in Mesopotamia!

4th graders in Mrs. Alexis’s class brought history to life today! Students became farmers, weavers, carpenters, and more as they bartered goods. They quickly learned that their own community (group) couldn’t provide everything they needed, but trading with other settlements opened the door to new goods, ideas, and inventions! 🌾🧺🪵

Hands-on learning makes history so much more fun! 🤎

Students from JOES and GHS that scored at least 3 Mastery scores on the 2026 LEAP were rewarded. Students had the rides to themselves, they received snacks, water and a bag of Duck Festival swag. Thank you to Cajun Rides and The Duck Festival Association!
