🤩What an incredible October session for our 2026–2027 Youth Leadership Guernsey class!

🌟These students dove into the history, culture, and leadership of our community and their energy and curiosity made it a fantastic day!

🌟The morning kicked off with a behind-the-scenes tour of Mosser Glass, Inc. where students saw firsthand how beautiful glassware is crafted.

🏡From there, they visited Cambridge Area Chamber of Commerce Ohio where Jim Jackson gave an engaging presentation on the history of Guernsey County and the leaders who helped build our community.

🌟Next stop was Cambridge Underground, where they explored the hidden history right beneath our feet with a tour and presentation led by Kim Harra, Director of Cambridge Main Street

🎩At Dickens Victorian Village of Cambridge, students not only learned the story of how this cherished holiday tradition came to be, but even got to dress up and experience how the characters are created each year!

🤩At the National Museum of Cambridge Glass, they discovered the fascinating history of Cambridge glass, toured the museum, and even tried their hand at pattern making!

🦌The afternoon wrapped up at Deerassic Park Education Center where students toured different areas of the grounds and saw some of the bucks on-site.

It was a fun, full day of exploring, learning, and growing as leaders. We are so proud of this Youth Leadership Guernsey group and can’t wait to see what they’ll accomplish throughout the year!

Congratulations to the 2026 Adult Leadership Guernsey participants on their Graduation!!

When the participants looked back at the year in review, they were reminded of all the speakers, tours, discussions, community service, and activities that they did each month. They presented their Capstone project, Wings of Hope Gala, to those who were in attendance tonight including their employers, Leadership speakers, family & friends! 🦋

One of the proudest achievements of this class was the large check they presented to Cindy Kerns, Director of the Guernsey County Cancer Society, for a grand total of $15,605.00!!! Thank you to all of the sponsors of the Wings of Hope Gala for helping to make this donation possible 🫶🏻

Dr. Michael Sarap gave an inspiring commencement speech encouraging the participants to strive to be Emotionally Intelligent leaders who positively impact the community. Thank you for encouraging us all on how to achieve ikigai!

Thank you to our corporate sponsors Guernsey Power Station and Pritchard Laughlin Civic Center.
