So, this is my student and friend Alex, who is really coming along quickly. He just started a few months back. Learned the "Ode to Joy" theme from Beethoven's 9th Symphony, then learned about how to make chords minor and transformed this classic theme into his own adaptation! He is such a wonder and it's a pleasure to work with him!
