As I reflect on this journey, my heart is filled with gratitude for every person who supported me throughout the Columbia County School Board District 2 election and then returned to the polls to vote again during the runoff election.
To every voter, volunteer, supporter, friend, family member, and campaign team member - THANK YOU. Your encouragement, prayers, phone calls, text messages, donations, conversations, and countless hours of hard work meant more to me than words can express. You believed in our vision and stood beside me every step of the way.
While the final results were not what we had hoped for, I consider this experience a victory nonetheless. We built meaningful relationships, engaged with our community, shared important conversations about education, and inspired others to become involved in the future of our schools. For that, I am truly grateful.
I would also like to congratulate Tiffany Heitzman on her victory and wish her the very best as she serves our students, educators, families, and community. My prayers are with her as she takes on this important responsibility, and I pray for continued positive growth and progress for Columbia County schools.
Thank you again for the love, support, and confidence you placed in me throughout this campaign. Although this chapter has come to a close, my commitment to our students, teachers, schools, and community remains strong.
