Eastland-Fairfield Career & Technical Schools We provide high-tech and in-demand programs to tap into your interests and prepare you for success!

Eastland-Fairfield Career & Technical School offers programs to high school students in 11th and 12th grade and adults in Franklin, Fairfield and Pickaway Counties. We partner with 16 public school districts and local business partners and employers that span 700 square miles to provide our students with high-tech and in-demand programs. EFCTS offers nearly 40 high school programs that prepare students for their next steps whether they choose to pursue a technical degree or continue their post-secondary education. Currently, there are 6 full-time adult programs that offer certification opportunities for in-demand careers when completed. In all of our programs, we are focused on equipping students with the skills needed to adapt to a rapidly changing world and succeed in career and in life. Traditional career & technical programs offered to high school students include welding, auto technology, HVAC, and cosmetology. Programs specifically designed for students who plan to continue their education in college or university include cybersecurity, pre-engineering, logistics, pre-nursing, dental assisting, pharmacy, environmental science, criminal justice, marketing and graphic design, to name a few. Our program offerings are subject to change because we seek to connect student interest to real-world needs and employment opportunities. EFCTS partners with local businesses and county and state economic development partners to identify critical workforce needs and ensure our programs are preparing students to be employed and successful after graduation. The District has two main campuses that serve our high school students — Eastland Career Center in Groveport and Fairfield Career Center in Carroll, with satellite locations at five of its associate high schools: Gahanna Lincoln, Groveport Madison, New Albany, Pickerington North, and Reynoldsburg.

💇‍♀️✂️ IN THE LAB: Cosmetology

Our Cosmetology seniors kicked off the school year with their first haircutting workshop, and they had a great industry connection leading the way!

Ashly Miller, general manager with Great Clips and a Fairfield Career Center Cosmetology graduate, worked with students on new cutting techniques while encouraging them to get outside their comfort zones. Her industry experience gives students an opportunity to learn from someone who has been where they are and now works in the field.

Trying something new can be challenging, but it’s also how skills grow. We’re grateful to Ashly for sharing her expertise and helping our seniors build the confidence and techniques they’ll need to succeed in the cosmetology industry. 💪🌟

Now that’s Legendary learning! ⚡

The sky may be the destination, but there’s plenty of learning that happens on the ground first!

EFCTS Aviation students get hands-on experience as they build the knowledge and technical skills needed to pursue opportunities throughout the aviation industry.

From understanding the systems that make flight possible to developing the skills and discipline aviation careers demand, students are preparing for a field where precision and preparation matter. ✈️

Learn here. Prepare here. Take your future higher!

🎓 Character matters.

As our juniors joined us at Fairfield Career Center for the 2026-27 school year, they were welcomed with a Commitment & Honor Ceremony on Aug. 21. A meaningful part of the ceremony was a message from Mr. Dwight Carter about the importance of character and how we choose to treat the people around us.

His message was simple, but powerful: “Work through the mess. We all have them.” Rather than judging others, students were encouraged to look for common ground and choose care and compassion. 🤝

At EFCTS, preparing students for their future means more than developing career skills. It also means helping them understand the character, compassion and respect that make a difference wherever life takes them.

We’re proud to welcome this new group of juniors to Fairfield Career Center and look forward to seeing the impact they make in our school and beyond. 🌟

🤝 BUT WHAT ABOUT THE R?

We have the E’s: Employment, Enlistment, Additional Education and Entrepreneurship. But there’s another letter that matters just as much: R for Relationships.

Strong relationships between administrators, staff and students are an important part of a successful school community. And relationships aren’t just something we talk about - they’re something our students see modeled every day.

When students see staff supporting one another, administrators working alongside teachers and colleagues treating each other with respect, they see what a strong team looks like. We teach through more than lessons. We teach through our actions, our interactions and the way we show up for one another.

Strong relationships build strong teams - and our students are watching and learning from both. 🤝🌟

Please join us in welcoming Harrison Rosch to Eastland Career Center! Harrison joins EFCTS as an intervention specialist, bringing 12 years of experience in education and a passion for supporting students.

Originally from Columbus, Harrison now lives in Lancaster with his girlfriend. Outside of school, he enjoys watching and playing sports, spending time outdoors and traveling.

We’re excited to welcome Harrison to the EFCTS family and look forward to the experience and perspective he’ll bring as he works alongside our students and staff! 👏🎓

Today, we pause to remember September 11, 2001, and honor the lives forever changed by that day.

We remember the courage of first responders, the strength of those who served, and the many acts of kindness and unity that followed. May we continue to honor their legacy by caring for one another and serving our communities.

We Remember. We Honor. We Unite.

💇‍♀️✨ IN THE LAB: Cosmetology

Creativity meets career preparation in the Cosmetology lab at EFCTS!

Students put their skills into practice in a hands-on environment where they can develop technical abilities, creativity, professionalism, and confidence. It’s an opportunity to learn by doing while preparing for a career in the beauty and wellness industry.

At EFCTS, we know that sometimes the best way to learn a skill is to pick up the tools and get to work! 💪✂️

💛 KINDNESS STARTS WITH A NOTE!

At the beginning of the school year, our students were greeted with thoughtful notes of kindness. Now, with World Kindness Day coming up on Nov. 13, we want to fill the hallways with even more!

A few encouraging words can go a long way. Whether it’s a simple thank-you, a reminder that someone is appreciated or a little encouragement to brighten their day, your note could make a difference for someone in our community. 📝💛

What would YOUR kindness note say? Share your message in the comments and help us spread a little more kindness!
