Friday Night Lights are Back! 🏈

We’re excited to welcome our students, parents, and community back to the stands this season. To make sure game days are fun, safe, and smooth for everyone, here’s a quick reminder of what to expect at all home high school football games this year:

🎟️ Digital & Gate Ticketing: Grab your tickets early online.

👜 Clear Bag Policy: Only approved clear bags (or small wristlets/clutches) are permitted into the stadium.

🎒 Middle & Elementary School Students: All students grade 8 and under must be accompanied by an adult/parent for entry.

🆔 Student IDs: High school students from the home and opposing team must show their current student ID at the gate for entry.

🚫 Re-Entry & Outside Items: No re-entry once you leave the stadium. Outside food, drinks, and backpacks are prohibited.

📣 Good Sportsmanship: Let’s support our athletes, coaches, band, and cheer teams with positivity and respect. Abusive language or disruptive behavior will result in removal from the facility.

Let's make it a great season! Drop a ❤️ below to show your team pride!

GMHS Parents and Families,

As the start of the school year quickly approaches, we'd like to remind everyone that GMHS is a no-electronics learning environment. Students are expected to keep cell phones, headphones, smartwatches, and Meta glasses put away during the school day.

Let's connect with our classmates, engage with our teachers, and focus on learning. We can't wait to welcome everyone back!

As we prepare to welcome students back for another exciting school year, I am honored to introduce the newly hired administrative team that will proudly serve Groveport Madison High School during the 2026–2027 school year.

Our newly hired leadership team is united by one shared purpose: ensuring every student is known, valued, challenged, and prepared for success. Together, we bring diverse experiences, a commitment to servant leadership, and a passion for creating an environment where all students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Joining me on this journey are Assistant Principals Dr. Milton Folson, who will support our 9th-grade students and Special Education; Ms. Mackensie Park, who will work with our 11th-grade students and Special Education; and Ms. Shonte Ivey-Spears, who will support our 12th-grade students and Special Education. Each leader brings exceptional expertise and a student-centered approach that will strengthen our school community.

This year, our priorities include raising academic achievement, improving attendance for students and staff, fostering a safe and welcoming learning environment, expanding student involvement in athletics, clubs, and extracurricular activities, strengthening family and community partnerships, and supporting the well-being of every Cruiser.

We know student success is built through strong partnerships between school, home, and community. We encourage families to stay engaged by attending parent meetings, supporting school events, cheering on our student-athletes and performers, and maintaining open communication with our staff throughout the year.

At Groveport Madison High School, we are committed to building a culture of excellence, respect, accountability, and pride. Every decision we make will be centered on what is best for students and focused on preparing them for college, careers, and life beyond high school.

We are excited about the year ahead and look forward to working alongside our students, families, staff, and community to make the 2026–2027 school year one of growth, achievement, and celebration.

Thank you for your continued support of Groveport Madison High School.

Our JROTC leaders took a group of 17 students to Camp Manatoc. Students competed in the JROTC Buckeye Challenge. Many of our JROTC students are returning with hardware and medallions for their performances this week. Sergeant Major Matthew Burns & Master Sergeant Krystal Ballinger were impressed by the performances of our students!

JROTC students earned awards in the following areas: Air Rifle, Archery, PT, Leader Reaction Course, Drones & Rappelling! Our students represented the Groveport Madison community in a first class manner! Principal Altman could not be more proud of the success of this new pathway at in its inaugural year.

Key Aspects of Groveport Madison JROTC:

• Focus: Builds leadership, confidence, teamwork, discipline, and character.

• Skill Development: Teaches valuable life skills, responsibility, and provides STEM engagement, preparing students for diverse futures.

• Career Pathways: Complements existing career-technical programs and helps students explore options in various fields.

• No Military Requirement: It's a leadership development program, not a recruitment tool, though some cadets do join the military.

• Community & Service: Emphasizes civic duty through community outreach and service projects, with potential mentorship from civic leaders.

• Activities: Includes classroom learning, extracurriculars like color guard, and potentially physical challenges and facility visits.
