Groveport Madison High School marked the end of Hispanic Heritage Month with performances and dances. This student-led event, organized by our Hispanic Heritage Student Union, celebrates the traditions and contributions of Hispanic cultures. It's a wonderful opportunity to support our students while learning about the diverse cultures and personal experiences of those in our school community.

Celebrate art! This month Groveport Elementary School students have their artwork featured at the District Service Center. The art shows off their learning and talents, and gives our staff something to smile about.

October is National Principals Month, and we want to give a special shoutout to our outstanding school principals! Our principals juggle a lot every day. They're pillars of strength, who wear multiple hats with ease. We are grateful for our amazing principals who lead, support, and inspire our students, staff, and families every day. Thanks for all you do!

The local Amazon facility in Lockbourne donated supplies to the teachers at Glendening today. Every teacher in the building now has a pack of disinfecting wipes and a pack of tissues to help keep their classroom clean this fall!

There will be no school beginning this Thursday, October 15 for a fall break. Staff returns for a PD Day on Monday, October 19, and all students and staff return to school on Tuesday, October 20.

Dunloe Elementary had a special visitor last week when Rascal Raccoon stopped by for an anti-bullying assembly!

Students learned about the importance of treating others with kindness and respect, making good choices, and doing their part to help make Dunloe a welcoming place for everyone.

Thanks to Rascal Raccoon for spending some time with our students and sharing such an important message in a fun and memorable way!

Groveport Elementary students had their best Read-a-Thon ever this year! After raising a little over $7,000 last year, they set another ambitious goal of $10,000 again this year.

They didn't just reach it. They blew right past it, raising more than $11,000! A new school record!

The money raised helps provide some pretty great experiences for Groveport Elementary students, including end-of-the-year field trips, author visits, Student of the Month T-shirts, and much more.

Of course, Ms. Bray knew a big goal needed a little extra motivation. She promised that if students surpassed $10,000, the top readers and fundraisers would earn the privilege of putting a pie directly in their principal's face.

They held up their end of the bargain.

So did Ms. Bray.

What you see here is the wonderfully messy chaos that followed. Congratulations to all of our Groveport Elementary readers and fundraisers on an incredible Read-a-Thon, and a big thank you to Ms. Bray for being such a good sport!

More than $11,000 raised, a whole lot of books read, and one very messy principal. Sounds like a pretty successful Read-a-Thon to us!

Our Cruisers joined students across Ohio in celebrating the Great American Apple Crunch!

Held during National Farm to School Month, the Apple Crunch encourages students to bite into a locally grown apple while learning a little more about where their food comes from. It's a fun way to promote healthy choices, celebrate locally grown foods, and recognize the farmers and producers who help put fresh food on our tables.

Judging by these photos, our students were more than happy to do their part, one crunchy bite at a time!
