The senior class, along with Mr. Slonaker, Miss Miller, Mrs. Sprague, and Mr. Walker, recently explored some of Godโs most magnificent creations across the Desert Southwest in Utah and Arizona.

Here's more about the trip from Mr. Walker:
Zion National Park: The highlight of the trip for many was an epic hike up the Virgin River through The Narrows in Zion National Park. This hike, often considered to be one of the best hikes in the U.S., reminded students of the physical and metaphorical truth that we need to regularly โlook upโ from the seemingly important things vying for our attention so that we donโt miss the best and most beautiful things in life.
Journey to Flagstaff: An early day started with coffee, fellowship, and a gorgeous canyon view at the River Rock Roasting Company. Students climbed sandstone slopes to explore the Sand Caves of Kanab and stood in awe above the expanse of Horseshoe Bend. That night, we visited the Lowell Observatory where, away from the pollution of city lights, students saw a sky bursting with innumerable stars. Many saw the telescopes that were used to map the surface of the moon and to discover Pluto, and some were able to gaze at the rings and moons of Saturn through a telescope.
Grand Canyon Exploration: The final day began with a hike in Walnut Canyon, exploring the remains of Native American dwellings built into the cliffs before arriving at the Grand Canyon. Hikes along the rim of the canyon and a short trip along Bright Angel Trail gave us all time to appreciate the beauty and magnitude of this unique wonder. Our final evening together concluded with dinner on the local Navajo reservation.
Throughout the trip, discussions challenged students to embrace the feeling of smallness, humble themselves before God, and seek to live by the truth that the greatest are those who are least in the eyes of the world. Students were encouraged to disconnect from the noise of society to be alone with their souls, listen for the still small voice of the Lord, and connect with one another.
