Father, in the name of Jesus, we thank You for every child, student, teacher, administrator, and staff member connected to Hope InPreparayory Academy.

As they enter this new school year, we ask that You order their steps, protect them, and give them wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Place a hedge of protection around them as they travel to and from school and throughout each school day.

📚 Give our students a hunger to learn, confidence to grow, and courage to stand for what is right.

🍎 Give our teachers patience, strength, creativity, and compassion as they pour into the lives of our children.

🛡️ Protect their minds, hearts, bodies, and spirits. Keep them from harm, negative influences, bullying, violence, and anything that would distract them from their purpose.

✨ Let our children be lights in their schools—examples of kindness, excellence, integrity, and faith.

We declare that this will be a SUCCESSFUL, SAFE, PRODUCTIVE, and PURPOSE-FILLED school year!

Pastor Tony McCoy provided our scholars, parents, and families with a powerful Back to School sermon today.

Nehemiah 2:17 reminds us: “Come, let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem…”

Just as Nehemiah was called to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem, God has called each of us to BUILD—our faith, our families, our purpose, and our future.

We must commit to doing everything with EXCELLENCE. When God gives you a vision, it should move you to action. Sometimes the first step is simply to SHOW UP and trust God with what comes next.

Nehemiah teaches us three powerful lessons:

1️⃣ Opposition and adversity can create the environment for success.
Don’t despise your beginning. The difficult environment you are facing today may be the exact environment God uses to produce tomorrow’s miracle.

2️⃣ “Fear not” doesn’t mean you won’t feel fear.
Faith means continuing to build even when fear is present. Pray, prepare, stay alert, and keep moving forward.

3️⃣ REMEMBER THE LORD!
When opposition comes, remember who God is and what He has already done.

📖 Nehemiah 4:14: “Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your families…”

Trojan FAMILY, we are called to build spiritual walls around our families through prayer, Scripture, strong morals, healthy boundaries, and spiritual vigilance.

As we begin this new school year, let’s BUILD together. Let’s protect our families. Let’s pursue excellence. Let’s remember the Lord.

The wall won’t build itself. It’s time to get to work!

We are incredibly grateful to the Groveland Fire Department for spending time with our HPA teachers and providing valuable CPR and AED training.

The safety and well-being of our scholars is always a top priority, and equipping our teachers with these life-saving skills helps us remain prepared to respond when every second matters.

As we prepare to begin another incredible school year, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the South Lake Chamber of Commerce for their love, generosity, and support during today’s Teacher Appreciation Breakfast.

Our teachers dedicate themselves every day to educating, elevating, and empowering the next generation, and being encouraged by such an amazing community is truly a blessing. This was the perfect way to kick off a brand-new school year, and we are incredibly grateful for everyone who helped make this morning so special.

Thank you, South Lake Chamber, for investing in our educators and reminding them how valued they are. We are excited for all that God has in store for this school year!

You Have a Choice!

Today’s powerful message from Pastor Dr. Tony McCoy reminded us that every day we are faced with a choice—who will we serve?

“But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” — Joshua 24:15

Joshua’s life reminds us that our circumstances do not define our future. Though he was born into slavery, he became a leader because of his unwavering loyalty, courage, and commitment to God. Moses recognized those qualities and invited Joshua to walk alongside him. It is a reminder that courage and faithfulness will open doors that talent alone never can.

Pastor Tony challenged us to ask ourselves three important questions:

1. Will you speak up? Be strong and courageous, even when serving God isn’t easy.

2. Will you make God supreme in your life? Place Him above everything else.

3. Will you commit yourself and your household? Choose today to lead your family in faith.

God is drawing a line in the sand. We all have a choice—to wholeheartedly follow Him or continue going our own way.

The challenge extended to every member of the Kingdom Family:

➡️ Men, “Man Up!” Lead your family spiritually through prayer, faith-filled conversations, repentance, and sacrificial leadership.

➡️ Women, be intentional spiritual guardians who nurture, encourage, and help build a Christ-centered home.

➡️ Together, husbands and wives are called to become one, united in leading their families closer to Christ.

May we all boldly declare, “As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord!”
