October 2 is just around the corner, and we are getting ready for another great South Lake Athletics Golf Outing at Green Valley Country Club! We just added a new Par 3 Challenge with $500 going to the team if all four players hit the green and $1,000 for a hole-in-one. Andy the Armadillo will be there, Orlando Health is our lunch sponsor, and we’ll have great food, drinks, prizes, and plenty of fun throughout the day. Most importantly, we are raising money to help provide our student-athletes with the equipment and facilities they deserve. Come take a day off, play some golf, have some fun, and help support South Lake Athletics!

Girls and Boys Swimming competed against Mt Dora. Emelia Miksa placed first in the 200 yard freestyle and the 100 yard backstroke. Julia Rodrigues took first in the 200 yard IM, while Chloe Hargreaves took first in the 100 yard butterfly.

For the boys, Juan Barrueta placed first in the 100 yard backstroke.

Their next meet is next Thursday, 9/24 against Tavares at the NTC at 4:30."
