Due to Tropical Storm Isaias, Clarke County High School will be CLOSED on Friday, October 9, 2026. All Friday extracurricular activities are canceled.

This week is Free College Application Week and our CCHS Class of 2027 is busy applying to college! Today, Dr. Love and Ms. C. Burroughs celebrated Free College Application Week with the theme "College and Cookies!" Coach Young purchased the cookies for our seniors! Our Career Coach worked with several seniors today and she will work with others tomorrow! Dr. Love and Ms. C. 💙💎 **DECA at JLDC!** 💎💙

Today, we had the opportunity to take **20 of our DECA members** to the **Joint Leadership Development Conference (JLDC)**!

It was an **awesome and inspiring session** that encouraged our students to grow as leaders, build confidence, and prepare for their future. We are so proud of our DECA members for representing our chapter and embracing this amazing leadership opportunity!

This year’s theme was **“Tell Your Story,”** and **Mr. Shaun Derik** did an amazing job motivating and inspiring our students. One powerful message he shared was:

**“Success does not happen on accident; it happens on purpose.”**

Our students were encouraged to recognize their potential, embrace their journey, and be intentional about creating their own success story. 💙💎

🐾As we end HOCO Week, we reflect on one who has paved the way🐾💙

Clarke County High School is proud to honor Larry Bagley as the Grand Marshall for the 2026 Homecoming celebration.

A dedicated leader and lifelong champion for local youth, Mr. Bagley spent 36 years serving the public education system. Throughout his distinguished career, he wore nearly every hat in education-shaping students and schools as a Coach, Teacher, Transportation Supervisor, Principal, and ultimate executive leader.

His steadfast commitment to academic and athletic excellence was recognized across the community, leading to his election as Superintendent of Education for three terms. Among his many achievements during his tenure, one of his proudest accomplishments was spearheading the construction of the new state-of-the-art field house at CCHS, creating a lasting athletic legacy for generations of Bulldogs to come.

Please join us in celebrating Mr. Larry Bagley for his decades of extraordinary service, leadership, and unyielding school pride!

The Bulldogs brought the energy to the field for our **CCHS Powder Puff Game!** It was an exciting time filled with school spirit, teamwork, competition, and plenty of Bulldog Pride! 🐾💙

Our students showed that Homecoming is about more than just football—it’s about **coming together, making memories, and celebrating what makes CCHS special.**

Thank you to everyone who participated, supported, cheered, and helped make the Powder Puff Game a success!
