Julian Katz, Regional Recruitment Manager for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, recently met with a large group of Jackson High School seniors to introduce the academic and campus opportunities at the University of Alabama 🐘. He highlighted the university’s top-tier undergraduate research programs, honors college options, and vibrant campus life, encouraging the prospective students to picture themselves as part of the Capstone community. During the visit, Katz guided the seniors through the admissions process, key deadlines, and competitive merit-based scholarships. He answered questions directly and offered practical advice on applying, giving many in attendance a clearer picture of how to prepare for college.
Thank you Julian Katz for taking the time to come visit Jackson High School !

Stay weather aware, Clarke County family! 🌩️

Today’s unexpected storms were a quick reminder of why we practice regular safety drills throughout the school year. Being prepared allows our staff and students to act swiftly, stay calm, and prioritize safety when unpredictable weather hits.

We want to extend a massive **THANK YOU** to our incredible bus drivers, who navigated difficult conditions to ensure every single student made it home safely today. 💛🚌

A special shoutout goes to our dedicated Transportation Department staff, who stayed on site, monitored the routes, and maintained constant communication until the very last bus was cleared and every child was accounted for.

Thank you to our parents and community for your patience, trust, and support as we navigate days like today together. Stay safe and stay weather aware! 🌧️⚡
