EJ’s Ohio Concealed Carry 42

Pistol 101 ($100 for members $125 non-members)

Throughout the training, we will cover a wide range of important subjects, including zeroing your red dot (if you have one), techniques for drawing from the holster with speed and accuracy, gaining the necessary information to put accurate shots on target. We will discuss different methods to practice and training at home.
We will also work on target transitions and shooting on the move. These skills taught will be put to the test in a competition for a prize at the end of class.
Please arrive on time and come prepared with the necessary equipment and mindset to learn.

REQUIREMENTS

The student MUST know and be able to demonstrate how to safely load, fire, and unload a handgun as well as have demonstrated competence in working from a holster.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT

* Quality functional semi-automatic pistol – Full size and compact pistols only.

* You will need 300-500 rounds of fmj ammo
* Daily carry or duty weapon
* Sturdy belt with quality holster- holster must attach to belt (inside the waistband or outside the waistband holster of your choice)
* 3 magazines or more
* Magazine pouch will be beneficial
* Ear/Eye protection
* water
* Black Sharpie
* PANTS WITH BELT LOOPS
Optional items some students find helpful:
Sun block
Lawn chair
Insect repellent
Notebook
Pen or pencil
Cleaning Kit
Rain Gear
Hat
Shirt with collar
Towel
Waterproof boots
Extra Clothes
Cooler with drinks
Gloves
NSAID – Ibuprofen, Naproxen
IFAK (Individual First Aid Kit)

PLEASE carry all fi****ms in accordance with Ohio Law. We will give you an opportunity to swap out your
carry ammo with practice ammo at the start of class and swap them back at the end of class, if needed.
Please do not attempt to swap out ammo on your own. You must have an instructor with you up on the
designated firing line. ABSOLUTELY NO HANDLING OF WEAPONS BEHIND THE DESIGNATED FIRING
LINE AND WITHOUT AN INSTRUCTOR PRESENT.

PLEASE DO NOT LOAD/TOUCH YOUR GUN UNTIL YOU ARE ASKED TO WHEN YOU ARRIVE TO THE RANGE

*Refunds will only be made if a class is cancelled by us. If a student cannot attend the class they signed up for, they will be given a full credit to another class of comparable value. No-shows without prior notice will not be given any such credit.
Class transfer credit will only be done for one class transfer maximum.

EXPECTATIONS AND OUTCOMES

The objective of this course is to teach the fundamentals of fi****ms training and use to help build a better foundation to be a prepared and proficient shooter. You will leave class proficient and confident in your weapon manipulation.
