Hello My Wonderful WeJoySing Friends!


When WeJoySing closed its doors, I was heartbroken. I taught with the amazing Mrs. Jo Kirk for almost 25 years. I grew to love all the families that came into my life and I am glad to say those friendships continued through the years even after the children were grown. So, the thought of not teaching was not an option for me! The legacy that Mrs. Jo began many decades ago needed to continue! I am thrilled to announce that "The JOY of Muzic" has been born! It is an early childhood music and movement program based on the curriculum of WeJoySing. I began having ZOOM classes in January and it has been so rewarding to see and play with all my friends, even those from different parts of the country. It has touched me to rekindle old friendships and begin new ones at a time when we all needed it the most! It is very similar to our previous WeJoySing classes, only we are in our own homes! We can talk, sing and play with each other just like the "old" times! We even sing goodbye with our "la-las!"



You can join me for the last two weeks of our Winter Session or you can wait to join when the SPRING SESSION begins on March 22!

The age groups are developmentally appropriate for 1-12 months, 13-24 months, 2-3 years and 4-5 years.

We do activities based on folk songs, nursery rhymes and games.

The objective is to experience the JOY that only music can bring through PLAY!

As we play, important skills are nurtured including listening, auditory, motor and cognitive, to name just a few.

The bonding that takes place between the parent(s) and child(ren) is paramount to the child's feeling of security and feelings of being LOVED!

We use items from home as our instruments, so you don't have to purchase materials.

Hi Friends!
My name is Rachel Amidon and I was fortunate to teach WeJoySing classes the past 8 years.

I have started Mindful Music & Movement, which offers early childhood music and movement virtual classes based on my instructional experience with WeJoySing. We will sing, move, dance, play instruments, and SO MUCH MORE all while learning together! These classes are a wonderful bonding time for families at home or a special addition to classrooms in child-care centers, Montessori schools, or preschools.

There are 3 different class levels for infants as young as 1 month up to 6-year-olds, in quarterly 8-week video class sessions. Each class is about 30 minutes long, emailed weekly with a password-protected link to Vimeo. All you need is a reliable internet
connection. You can watch at your convenience, and even pause, rewind, fast forward, or watch multiple times!

A Letter from Mrs. Jo: WeJoySing Closing After 37 years of JOY!!

Dearest WeJoySing Families,

WeJoySing has missed sharing the joys of learning and growing through God’s wonderful gift of MUSIC with you and your child. For many reasons, COVID19 has made it impossible for us to provide “in person” classes with you. Since March, we have been providing WeJoySing classes in the form of Video and Live Zooms series in the hope that these would “keep us thriving” through the COVID19 period.

It is with a heavy heart that I write to inform you that these creative attempts to keep WeJoySing “alive” through COVID19 have not been successful. Therefore, as of December 31, 2020, WeJoySing Inc. will cease to exist as it is currently known in the greater Columbus area.

However, there is “GOOD NEWS!!” Several of the current WeJoySing instructors are planning to establish their own Early Childhood Music and Movement program (based on WeJoySing) AFTER COVID19 is under control and many regulations are lifted. When this blessed day comes, a past WeJoySing instructor may be contacting you to offer you and your child more high-quality music and movement-based learning experiences.

I cannot express my gratitude and appreciations to all the families that have shared and entrusted their “little ones”- for over 37 years - with me and my beloved WeJoySing staff. It has been a privilege to be a “part of your family” and your child’s early growth and development. I will forever treasure the laughter, song, play, learning, and special moments we have shared! Thank you for giving WeJoySing the privilege to share God’s wonderful GIFT of MUSIC with you and your child!
