Freshman Survival Skills is one of our favorite back-to-school traditions! 📚✏️ Each year, our newest high school students get a crash course in everything they need to know to navigate high school successfully—from schedules and study tips to school resources and expectations. We love helping our freshmen start the year with confidence and setting them up for success! This year’s event was especially meaningful as our freshmen took time to write notes of love, encouragement, and support to their classmate, Kensi. 💙 It was a beautiful reminder that high school is about more than academics... It’s about building a community that cares for one another. Welcome to high school, freshmen! We’re cheering you on every step of the way! Go Eagles! 🦅

Welcome to GCCS, Eagles! 🎉 We had a blast welcoming our newest students to campus during New Student Orientation just a few weeks ago! From making new friends to getting to know their new school, it was a great day filled with fun, laughter, and excitement for the year ahead! A huge thank you to all of our GCCS students who helped welcome our new Eagles and made sure they felt right at home. We’re so excited to have each of our new students as part of the GCCS family! 💙🦅

It’s “Make Room” Monday! ✝️ This year, our school theme is “Make Room: Beyond the Expected,” and for our first shoutout, we’re highlighting our very own GCCS junior, Kenzie! 🦅💙 This summer, Kenzie had the incredible opportunity to participate in demos at BreyerFest at the Kentucky Horse Park! 🐴 BreyerFest is a worldwide celebration of Breyer model horses held once a year in Lexington, Kentucky. People travel from all over the country to share their love of model horses, but only a select number of horse groups are invited to participate each year. For the past three years, Kenzie has ridden with Ohio Standardbred and Friends, showcasing the versatility of the Standardbred breed. She is also the youngest guest rider in the group! This year, Kenzie partnered with All American Legacy and represented Sweden and its culture during BreyerFest. We love seeing our students "Make Room" and go "Beyond the Expected" by pursuing their passions, embracing unique opportunities, and sharing their talents with others. Great work, Kenzie! We are so proud of you! 💙🦅

Our students have been so blessed by our new shade structures! ☀️💙 A huge thank you to Ohio Dutch Construction, Inc. for their generous support during last year’s GCCS Give Week! Their generosity went "Beyond the Expected" and allowed us to complete the project for this school year. And the best part is, our students are already enjoying the benefits. 🦅 We’re so grateful for donors like Ohio Dutch Construction, Inc., who believe in investing in our students and our school. The GCCS Class of 2027 is officially underway! 🎓🦅💙 Before the school year began, our seniors gathered for their first class meeting with Mrs. Gillespie, their advisors, and school leadership. It was a great opportunity to connect, hear about the year ahead, and start making memories together. And of course, no senior kickoff would be complete without ice cream! 🍦 We can’t wait to see all that God has in store for the Class of 2027! ✨
