Hello everyone! Welcome to Akaawase Tutoring! I am a recent graduate from Thomas Aquinas College with a double major in math and philosophy. While studying, I realized the beauty and interconnectedness of math and philosophy. Math isn't just for engineers and doctors. Everyone needs to study math because it trains the mind to think logically and coherently. Logical thinking and problem-solving skills enable the child to be confident and creative. Years of working with young children taught me that childhood and young adulthood are turbulent and often insecure times. My dream is to give students the skills necessary to think and act with certainty. Math is the most certain and unchanging subject we can study. Studying math has built me up and given me confidence, and I want to share this with others!
The motto of Akaawase Tutoring is, "Confidence through Excellence." Excellence is not merely good grades. Grades are important, but Akaawase Tutoring strives for the more fundamental excellence of the mind. A keen and confident mind will give your child leadership skills throughout life!
