We’re excited to welcome everyone back as we get ready for another great school year. Thank you for everything you do to support our students, our programs, and the entire Grasso Tech community.

📚 WELCOME BACK, GRASSO TECH!

Good morning, students! We hope you had a great summer and are ready for a new school year. We’re excited to have our halls, classrooms, and shops filled with students again!

As we begin the year, several updates have been made with two priorities in mind: school safety and student success.

WHAT’S NEW THIS YEAR:
• Semester Courses — More flexibility and opportunities within student schedules.
• English & Mathematics — Grades 9 and 10 will have English and Math during both cycles, providing additional instructional time and support.
• Senior Dismissal — Seniors will be dismissed during their shop cycle according to the established schedule and procedures.
• Dress Code — Hoodies may not be worn during school hours. Black and blue jeans are permitted during the academic cycle. Students should arrive each day in the appropriate school uniform and attire.
• Lockers & Personal Items — Backpacks, outerwear, cellphones, and non-essential electronic devices must be stored in student lockers, with designated opportunities to access them during the day.
• Student Handbook — Several policies and procedures have been updated. Please carefully review the highlighted changes in the Grasso Handbook Addendum.

And yes — we read your surveys! Parent and student feedback was considered and resulted in modifications to the backpack and cellphone policies.

A successful school year takes all of us working together. We’re asking every student to do four things:

⏰ Be here and be on time.
🤝 Be respectful to your peers and all school personnel.
📚 Focus on learning and doing your best.
🏆 Get involved in athletics, clubs, activities, and the Grasso Tech community.

It has been pretty quiet around here all summer, and we’re ready to change that!

🎓 Seniors return Monday, August 31.

Let’s work together to make Grasso Tech a place where everyone feels welcome, supported, and proud.
