We would like to welcome the 2026-2027 Arnold Mitchem Leadership Institute cohort. Fifteen leaders from programs in New England came together virtually on Friday, September 11th, to kick off their year of learning. They will meet three more times in person, and we will celebrate their success at the NEOA conference in April.

TRIO Grant Awards — First Slate Update

COE received an unofficial copy of the first slate of Talent Search and EOC grant awards. Swipe through for a quick breakdown of the numbers and what to do next.

The quick version:
- Talent Search: 326 grants funded at $142.5M. ~$32M remains for a possible second slate. 186 fewer awards so far.
- EOC: 102 grants funded at $44.8M. ~$8M remains. 52 fewer awards so far.
- Statewide winners: Ohio and Wisconsin (Talent Search); Oklahoma and West Virginia (EOC).
- Award letters go out by Monday, Aug 31. Funding band letters are still coming.
- Not on the first slate? Watch for NCE guidance and join COE office hours.

Our community is full of incredible women who continuously give back to their communities, including this year's 2026 Women of Distinction nominees.
