As many of you have heard, I’ve made the tough decision to close my daycare. Although this choice wasn’t easy, it was one that was needed. I recently accepted a job that will allow me to use my degree while still spending valuable days with Weston, truly the best of both worlds! 🩵
Daycare will always hold a special place in my heart. I originally opened when Weston was little, during a time when he was very sick. It was my way to provide for my family while keeping him home where he needed me most. Over time, though, I’ve missed using my degree and working in the mental health field, something that has always been part of who I am.
Leaving daycare is bittersweet because of the countless memories I’ve made along the way. I’ve watched children take their very first steps, learn to ride bikes, try new foods, meet new friends, and grow in so many amazing ways. Each child has left an imprint on my heart.
To every family, past and present, who has trusted me to care for your little ones, thank you. I will forever treasure the bonds I’ve created with each child and each family. It has been an absolute honor to play even a small role in your children’s lives and to watch them grow.
There are truly no words for the amount of respect I have for anyone who works in childcare. Sharing your home, setting boundaries, and balancing it all isn’t always easy, but it’s deeply rewarding. This experience has meant so much to me, and I’m endlessly grateful for the support I’ve received from so many of you along the way.
As I close this chapter and begin the next, I’m reminded that growth doesn’t always look graceful. Sometimes it means choosing peace over people-pleasing, or stepping back from things that no longer feel right. Protecting your mental health and your family’s well-being is never something to feel guilty about because peace is worth protecting, even when others may not understand your why. 💛
