It’s never too early to think about your summer reading list! Check out these recommendations from our friends TVCCA Early Head Start & Head Start Program about starting Kindergarten to help children build excitement, confidence, and familiarity with this important milestone.
Remember, if your child will be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2026, and you have not yet registered for kindergarten, we encourage you to complete our New Student Registration process as soon as possible at www.grotonschools.org/registration.

Is your child heading off to kindergarten next school year? You can help with the transition by reading all about it over the next two months. This can alleviate anxiety your child might have about the change. This is also a perfect time to get a library card from your local public library so you have access to all of the wonderful books about taking that next big step! Here are just a few of the many books available to get you started!
