“I was drawn to Groton for the tight-knit community, which I immediately felt when I joined the theater program. Whether it be working backstage or acting, I have always found a place in the theater that allows me to be myself. Groton has given me the chance to find new passions, such as doing makeup for the school play, while still keeping up on the court and being challenged in the classroom. Groton’s small Circle, pun intended, is the kind of place where people show up and support each other, whether it’s wearing all red clothes to cheer for peers on the sidelines, teachers caring for all aspects for academics growths to life skills, or simply dressing up in a funny costume and freezing moments behind a camera. Winning or losing, each one of us knows that behind us is a whole school – a community we know well and trust to support us. Being part of that is something I’m really grateful for.
