A big part of our "RALLY" focus today was the Christ the King Lutheran Church Preschool ministry which opened in October 1986, with an enrollment of just 4 children ... we have operated with as many as 125 over the next 40 years ... 40 YEARS!

this Sunday we also installed Mrs Shelby Pirrello (director), Mrs Lozon (assistant director), and Ms Regiane Fante (teacher) ... Godspeed to these Christian women guiding our little ones in the year ahead... and our preschoolers didn't leave for Sunday School until hearing a message from Pastor

join us for RALLY DAY SUNDAY, a special event held at the start of the new program year, typically in September after the summer lull. It’s designed to “rally” with the idea of “a renewal of energy in joint action" after vacations, camps, and reduced gatherings in summer, and serves as a kick-off to renewed church activities —and not just Sunday School

prepare by prayerfully READING the appointed lectionary outlined as follows:

The OLD TESTAMENT Lesson. "But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive." GENESIS 50.15-21

The EPISTLE LESSON "we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s. ROMANS 14.1-12

The GOSPEL Lesson: "Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you?’ And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him. “So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses. MATTHEW 18.21-35
A Psalm of David. An Earnest Appeal for Guidance and Deliverance
PSALM 143 Hear my prayer, O Lord,
Give ear to my supplications!
In Your faithfulness answer me,
And in Your righteousness.
Do not enter into judgment with Your servant,
For in Your sight no one living is righteous.

MISSIONARY CONRAD (and family) NEWS!

Grace, mercy, and peace be unto all of you from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. Greetings in the name of the Lord! We hope that you are enjoying your final days of summer. In Latin America, Spanish reigns as the dominant language and the LCMS mission effort primarily works among the Spanish speaking peoples of the region. Nevertheless, the LCMS has missionaries who serve on the island of Jamaica where English is spoken. Moreover, several of our seminarians call Haiti their home country where French is the national language. Throughout the world many language groups exist. Yet under Christ we remember that there is one faith, one Lord, and one baptism. Let us continue to proclaim this life-giving truth to all the nations. The seminarians now have a slight break from their studies until the classes begin in September.

During this time, they continue to serve in the local churches as they help in the worship services and Bible studies. A new seminarian, Carlos Juan, who hails from Santo Domingo, the capital city of the Dominican Republic, has arrived at the seminary in Santiago. He is presently in orientation and will begin his studies in September. All the seminarians and faculty give Carlos Juan a hearty welcome aboard. Remember Carlos Juan in your prayers as he prepares for the Holy Ministry.

The ZOOM application has proved to be very useful for the pastoral formation of Latin American pastors. The great majority of our pastors in training are not able to make a trip to the Dominican Republic where our resident seminary is located. They take their classes by connecting to our classroom via the ZOOM application
PERSONAL NOTES: We thank God for the mission in Latin America. Your support provides Biblical training for national pastors, deacons, and deaconesses. Prayerfully consider how the Lord may be leading you to support this vital mission. The Lord provides the funding for His mission efforts through the donations of His local churches and its individual members.

Through your financial donations national pastors and deaconesses will be formed and mentored so that they may spread the Gospel throughout Latin America. Together we partner with God to take the Gospel to the far ends of the earth. We thank you for supporting the mission in Latin America. God’s richest blessings! Have a blessed summer!

I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1.3
Soli Deo Gloria,
Daniel and Kathy

Dear Heavenly Father, I am PRAYING for all those affected by the devastating flash floods in NEPAL AND TIBET. I pray for those who are grieving, and for those who are still waiting for news of their missing loved ones. I pray for the emergency workers in the region, operating in immensely difficult conditions to rescue people and bring relief. I pray too for those who are injured...

and for the doctors and nurses working tirelessly to bring healing and rebuild lives. Into the hands of our loving God, and in the name of Jesus Christ, I place all those who watch, wait, work and weep, regarding this catastrophe. Lord in your mercy, hear my prayer.
