Over the years we have provided funds for numerous items such as:
Tennis teams: new leaf blower and a new storage shed.
Golf teams: course fees and a new indoor golf simulator. Wrestling team: new mats and a new time clock.
Boys Varsity Lacrosse team: new helmets
Girls & boys soccer teams: new stadium jackets and new training equipment.
Facility improvements including Memorial Marker
maintenance and field and facility cleanup events. Gymnastics team: IPad 2 with software program and donations for new uniforms and new training equipment.
ACL injury prevention for the girls basketball & volleyball teams
Sailing team: new uniforms
Boys’ hockey team: locker room improvements.
Completely re-modeled weight training room with new equipment. Girls Hockey team over $5,000 of locker room upgrades at home arena. Synchronized Swimming: new underwater speaker and donation for “2 Day Classic”. Swim training belts.
Basketball Teams: Shoot Around Machine
Video Boards (3) for All-State athletes, schedules, hall of fame. Stadium jackets for the girls and boys soccer teams. Grand Slam Level Sponsorship for the new tennis courts. Weight training room upgrades! Football team sideline cameras and speed training equipment. Track and Field: 3 year commitment for professional timing company to run home events. Speed timers and training equipment. Cross Country: Barrier Breaker tee shirts for runners accomplishing goals. New training equipment for the Athletic Trainer including magnetic resistive exerciser; full body skeleton; portable manipulation table; digital scale and baseline body analyzer/handheld. Many more facility improvements. In addition, we give away $7,000 in scholarships each year to honor deserving male and female senior athletes. We host a Senior Athletic Brunch the first Sunday of June at the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club. Booster member volunteer their time and efforts to raise money to support our athletes and teams. Our boosters run the concessions at sporting events throughout the year to raise money as well as the money you pay to come to an event. We raise money by selling family athletic passes, annual Golf Outing, Kroger rewards and donations.
