New program starting TODAY AT 4! There’s still space to join!

Grinnell Triple Threat launches on Sunday, September 13! This class combines singing, dancing, and acting, and will help students develop skills in vocal performance, musical theater dance, stage presence, and character development.

Each class will include:
- Drama games to break the ice between participants and help build stage presence
- Vocal warm-ups and group singing focusing on age-appropriate technique, projection, and confidence
- Movement and choreography that builds a foundation of standard dance steps for beginners, with leadership and solo opportunities for more experienced dancers
- Teamwork activities to emphasize that collaboration and trust are at the heart of every great performance!

We want to extend a huge thank you to the Vosburg Music Fund for their generous support. During the 2025-2026 period, the Vosburg Music Fund has provided financial assistance for music lessons and classes to numerous local children and youth. 🎸🥁 Calling all rockstars! Rock Band Camp is officially loud. ⚡🔥

Who says you need years of training to join a band? Our youngest musicians (ages 5-8) spent the week writing original songs, playing music games, and trying out every loud instrument in the building!

If your child spent the summer drumming on the kitchen table or singing at the top of their lungs, don't let that creative spark fade when camp ends.

Mini Keys and Jam Band 101 classes begin September 28 and 29, respectively. Check out the Spring 2026 Mini Keys class’s band, 🔥🦁The Flaming Exploding Silver Lions. 🦁💥They spent the term working on several original songs, “The Kevin Song,” being their biggest crowd pleaser! In our Brooklyn Music Factory programs, every student has a hand in writing the songs and playing the different instruments for each song.

The Grinnell School of Music welcomes learners of all ages! We offer a diverse range of drop in classes for adults, including drum circles, Celtic jams, and other great programs listed on our website. Additionally, private lessons provide a personalized approach, with over 20% of our private students being adults. It's never too late to acquire a new skill or refine existing knowledge!

Attention Ukulele players! Our first Ukulele Club drop-in class is TOMORROW, September 2nd. This program is for anyone 14+, from beginners to seasoned players, so bring your friends and spend your evening learning a new skill!

Advance registration preferred. $20 each class OR $75 when you attend all 4. Ask us about pay-what-you-can options.
