The School City of Hammond Department of Food & Nutrition is proud to support our students and families with convenient Grab & Go Meal Distribution. 🥪 🍎 🥛 Every child ages 18 and under can receive both breakfast and lunch together in a single, quick visit. Please note that students must be present to receive meals.

🚗 How It Works.

Convenient Drive-Through. There is no need to get out of your car. 🚙 Simply drive up to the designated door at any participating location listed below, and our staff will hand meals directly to your vehicle for a quick and safe pickup. 🍎 🥪

We prayed the lights would operate for our Griffith location but God has other plans. Unfortunately, the Griffith location will be closed tomorrow. 🙏🏾😢

Our Hammond location is still without power. These dark hallways should be filled with lights, laughter, learning, and our children.

We know these continued closures are difficult for our families, our staff, and our entire LSH community. We are saddened and frustrated too. We are ready to open our doors, welcome our babies back, and get back to doing what we love.

For now, we continue to wait—and pray—for power to be safely restored. Thank you for your patience, prayers, and understanding. 🙏🏾

💔 LSH Families, we are deeply saddened to announce another closure.

Please forgive the late post. We waited until 8:30 tonight, hoping and praying for a miracle—that the power would be restored. Unfortunately, not yet. 😔

Once power returns, we must replenish and make sure our programs are fully operable before welcoming everyone back.

LSH will remain CLOSED Monday, August 17, 2026.

We know this has been difficult. We miss our babies and we miss being OPEN! ❤️🙏🏾
