Dear GSCS Parents,

Beginning next week (Tuesday Sept. 8) Edia attendance messages will begin. Elementary and middle school parents whose students are absent will receive a text at 5 p.m. High School parents who's students are absent will receive a text at Noon and 5 p.m. These messages will only be sent for students who's absence is marked unexcused. Thank you. Happy holiday weekend.

πŸ“šβœ¨ September is Attendance Awareness Month! βœ¨πŸ“š

Every school day matters! When students attend school regularly, they have more opportunities to learn, build relationships, participate in activities, and reach their full potential.

This September, let’s work together to make every day count. Families, teachers, staff, and our entire community all play an important role in supporting good attendance.

🎯 Be Present. Be Powerful. Be Your Best!

Together, we can make attendance a priority and help every student stay on the path to success. πŸ’™

Griffin-Spalding County School System (GSCS) is so very thankful for all of our Partners in Education. So many businesses and organizations help provide opportunities and experiences for our students and teachers. Our district partners that each contribute in excess of $10,000 in value to help students are: Brightmoor, Chick-fil-A, Dairy Queen, First National Bank, Georgia Banking Company, Marco's Pizza, Piedmont Fayette Hospital and United Bank. Thank you! Many others support the REACH and similar scholarships, individual schools, fine arts, athletics, and more. Some, like Norcom, provide school supplies. Some take part in the Partners in Education Fundraiser Golf Tournament (Sept 25 this year). Others serve as mentors and reading tutors for students. Community churches host events, volunteer at schools and pray for our students and staff. Thank you Griffin and Spalding for supporting our future through public education. We need you and we appreciate you!
