It’s Alive! CNC Mill Build Part 6 https://weekendhandywoman.com/its-alive-cnc-mill-build-part-6 The new CNC is almost done, I just have a few minor details to take care of and I'll be able to use the machine for the first time.

With the bulk of the electrical work done, I went to work on making the bed. I used the plastic bed from the old CNC as the first layer and leveled that using the new CNC. With that flattened I added another layer of the same plastic (StarBoard) and topped that with the aluminum plate that has threaded holes for hold down clamps. The spoil board is made from 1/4" thick acrylic and all four layers are screwed down to the base of the machine with 2" long deck screws.
