Freshman Retreat - Identity in Christ

Last week we had our Freshman Retreat and it was such a grace filled day! We know that high school is a season where it is easy to forget who we are and where our identity should be rooted so we focus our first high school retreat on that very topic!
We were blessed to hear from 3 speakers throughout the day: Mr. Ryan Schumacher, Mrs. Heidi Field, and Mrs. Cecilia Brichacek. The students also had the chance to dive into the topics within their small groups, and encounter the Lord fully present in the Blessed Sacrament during Adoration.

Thank you, Lord, for creating the space for us to step away and remember who (and Whose) we are!

Relationship —> Identity —> Mission

Last Friday, we were grateful to welcome Archbishop McGovern to Scotus! ☘️

He spoke with our students about his vocation and encouraged them to think about God’s calling in their own lives by asking three simple questions:

Does God want me to do it? Do I want to do it? Can I do it?

Following his talk, our students and staff gathered to celebrate Mass with Archbishop McGovern.

Thank you, Archbishop McGovern, for spending the day with us and sharing such a meaningful message with our students! 🙏

“Wonder gives way to Encounter”

Yesterday, our Campus Ministry Team - the Scotus Missionaries - had their annual end of summer retreat… and what a Spirit filled day it was!
Focusing on our theme “Wonder and Fullness of Life”, the students had the chance to participate in Mass and Adoration, hear several talks, attend men’s/women’s sessions, learn how to lead Bible studies and pray with one another, and simply get to know each other as teammates!

The joy was tangible at St. Stanislaus and we are so excited for the school year to start! ☘️

“For dust you are, and to dust you will return” Genesis 3:19
Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Lenten season. Lent reminds us of the sacrificial love that Christ has for each and every person. During this Lenten season, allow the love of the Lord to envelope your heart!
As a school, we celebrated Mass and began our school Lenten commitments. We invite you to join in on our challenges of following dress code and keeping your phone in your locker! Our Almsgiving challenge for the year is helping Fr. Chindo to raise money for the Elion Academy - the school he is building in his home village in Nigeria.
