Still on a high from Mind, Body & Soul: New Student Orientation at Xavier University!

Last week, I had the opportunity to welcome Xavier’s newest students the best way I know how, by SERVING and providing free haircuts to help them step into this new chapter looking good and feeling even better! 💈

There’s something special about being able to pour into the next generation, and I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make this experience one to remember.

A huge thank you to Iraca Jackson, Ronald Carrere, Cjay Lumontod, my assistant Jada Blocker, my Social Media Director Rashaun Harris, one of my newest interns , and my ride or die Brenda Washington! It takes a team, and I appreciate every single one of you for showing up and helping me serve these students with excellence.

Extra, extra special shoutout to mr_dontquit! A few years ago, you mentioned my name, and that one act opened a door that continues to allow me to show up and serve at this amazing event. Never underestimate the power of speaking someone’s name in a room they aren’t in. I’m forever grateful! 🙏🏾

This year’s Xavier University “My Body and Soul” new student orientation was a 10/10 experience. I’m grateful for the invitation and only wish I’d had more time to connect with them . For me it was a visit to .Aug. this morning! I had the honor of visiting my alma mater to welcome students back on their first day.

Brotherhood is still in demand! Some young men didn’t know how to tie a tie yet, but we had brothers that stood in the gap!
