The bet is on! This Friday, the Saints take on Chemeketa Community College in a volleyball showdown - and there’s a little extra on the line. MHCC President Lisa Skari and Chemeketa President Jessica Howard have made a friendly wager: Whoever’s team loses has to wear the winner’s jersey.

The MHCC Dead Mathematicians' Society is excited to announce they will be hosting Tim Leatherman of Leatherman Tool Group as part of its "Infinite Enrichment Series" a series of presentations given by faculty or off-campus presenters that address mathematical, scientific, artistic, and more topics that students won't see in class! 🔎

For this presentation, Tim Leatherman, the Portland-based inventor behind the Leatherman multi-tool, will share his story, lessons, and advice. He will also discuss his new product: The Leatherman Book. Set to release next month, this book which dives into his personal story as a practical guide for anyone looking to pursue their own big ideas. 💡📘

September is National Student Parent Month and there's no better time to share about our Student Parent Support Group here at MHCC.

This fall, Eden Isenstein, LPC, MHCC Counselor will be facilitating a Student Parent Support Group. It is a space for MHCC students currently parenting or caregiving to connect with other student parents for mutual support, learn strategies to balance school and parenting, and explore ways to support your and your child’s mental health.

The Cascade Locks Marine Park provided the most beautiful setting for one of our Community Connection Tour events as part of our MHCC 60th Anniversary year-long celebration! 🏞️

We were honored to share the stage with our partners in Cascade Locks, including Mayor Brenda Wood, Port of Cascade Locks, Main Street Cascade Locks, and Cascade Locks Historical Museum as we celebrated two incredible milestones: the 100th birthday of the Bridge of the Gods and the 60th birthday of MHCC. 🎂

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat, pick up some free swag, and celebrate all the things that make our community so special. We loved connecting with our neighbors, exploring the incredible local vendors, and soaking in the evening together.

And what better way to end the night than with a spectacular fireworks show—with one of the best views around! 🎆

Here’s to 60 years of MHCC and the communities we’re proud to serve!

We had the best time celebrating MHCC's 60th Anniversary kick off in Downtown Gresham! 🎊

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to enjoy a cupcake from Sugar Cubed Cakes, picked up an MHCC Passport, signed up for our new community newsletter, and most importantly, shared your MHCC story. ❤️🖤 We're proud to celebrate our official 60th anniversary, as proclaimed by City of Gresham - Government Mayor Travis Stovall for Gresham Mayor, among friends, community members, and longstanding partners here in our region.

A huge shoutout goes to Historic Downtown Gresham for partnering with us to make this event happen as part of the Third Thursday Street Fair Series.
