The Orient PTC closed out a fantastic year with a total of $54,767 raised! We greatly appreciate your support, and we couldn’t have done this without you. Here is a recap of how this money supported our schools:
-EO Jog A Thon raised $22,291 toward a super fun, educational and exciting school wide field trip to the Oregon Zoo plus additional school supplies.
-EO Bingo Night and WO Concessions and Candy Grams raised $8,110 for hospitality- we treated our amazing staff to multiple catered lunches and appreciation gifts. Sending a huge thank you to our incredible hospitality crew- Maritza Rich, Ali Houghton, Marie Brooks and Mary Peterson at EO and Keri Harker-Klingner and Brittany Clark at WO-for their help.
WO Color Run made $10, 804 and WO Fun Fest made $1,257 to be used for staff grants and multiple other items and events for the school.
We granted a total of $14, 284 ($10,574 at EO and $3,710 at WO) toward staff grant requests. These were funded by previous years EO Sock Hops and portions of WO Fun Fest and WO Color Run. Grants included field trips, 5th and 8th grade celebrations, learning materials, staff engagement, community support, track and PE equipment and more.
This year, the East Orient PTC hosted a new event, Pancakes and PJs. With the proceeds of this event, we were able to donate $450 in grocery gift cards to several EO families in need.
Finally, our Restaurant Nights made $3,098 toward our Barlow High School scholarship fund, allowing us to grant two $1000 scholarships to 2026 Barlow grads.
Also, our West Orient Vice President Brenda Kibbe-Schulz is wrapping up her time on the Orient PTC Board as her daughter moves on to High School. Thank you Brenda for the years of service, you will be missed! We have some new faces joining our board next year, and we will make introductions in the Fall.
Thank you to all of volunteers that helped these events and thank you everyone for your support and another incredible year. Have a great summer!
