Great news to share! We may not have had anyone qualify for nationals but our membes did great! At the State Leadership Conference in Bismarck, not everyone is called up on stage so we don't know placings until they send the advisors an email.

To go to nationals at the highschool level, you must place 1-4th and the fifth place can go as an alternate if 1-4th decline. Molly took 6th out of 25 in Sales Presentation and therefore was SO close to going to San Antonio! Great job to Molly Wright! Also at the high school level, Nolan Andorff placed 7th in Impromptu Speaking. Way to go, Nolan!

At the Middle Level, only 1-2nd place go to nationals and 3rd is alternate. Lane McDowell placed 5th in his Career Research presentation! Very good presentation, Lane! And finally, Leela Smart and Summer Swenson took 7th in their Exploring Business Issues presentation!

We are very proud of these kids! These kids are becoming the next generation of leaders in our community and in their school. Kudos to them all! ‼️🤩👏

We will have to shoot for nationals next year. We had great representation by these young Grenora kids this year. Out of the 1500 North Dakota competitors this year, these are the six we want with us all the time! Very proud of them!!

Like we’ve told them, competition is only a small portion of the FBLA organization. They’ve done some great things for our school, our community, our area and other organizations. They should be very proud and feel good about all they do. Not all teens (or adults for that matter) step up….and THEY DID!

An update… Molly Wright has made finals in Sales Presentation! Way to go, Molly! She had a very large group to compete against and was our only member to have to attempt to make a final list. We will let you all know tomorrow how everyone did and if we have any students going to nationals!Awards are in the morning. 🏆 🥇 ☺️

One week away! Sunday, Jan 18 with free-will donation soup dinner at 5:00 CST and games at 6:00. Our last Donkey Basketball event was a packed house as you see by the photos. Be sure to get your tickets soon before there aren’t any left!! There is a seating capacity we can’t go over! $10 in advance $15 at the door (if you want to chance that, you may be turned away because of the full DONKEYhouse!!!). Children who are not in school yet are free!! Let us know if we need to get you tickets!!

Donkey basketball is coming to town January 18th! Free will donation soup dinner will start at 5:00 and games will begin at 6:00. Tickets are available at Grenora School or contact a Grenora FBLA member. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door. Come see some donkey basketball! 🏀 A fun family night for sure! As you look at the list of players, you'll see some veterans and also some rookies who want to ride a donkey....for 8 seconds! 😆

Way to go Grenora community for the contributions to the Angel Tree project! The jury is still out in deciding if FBLA members are wrappers or “rappers”. 😂 Thank you DWCU for allowing us to have the tree up in your lobby. Merry Christmas!!
