What an AMAZING start to our first week at WES!Week one was filled with both excitement and energy from students and staff! This first week is just a glimpse of the awesome year ahead! We are so excited for all the learning, growing, celebrating, and memories we’ll make!

WES was filled with smiling faces, excited students, welcoming teachers, and the buzz of a new school year for Night 2 of Meet the Teacher!
So much excitement was in the air as students explored their classrooms, met their teachers, found their seats, and began imagining all the possibilities that this school year will bring!
Can’t wait to see you on Tuesday, August 11th for the First Day of School!

Our first evening of Meet the Teacher was a wonderful start to the new school year as we welcomed our Fifth Grade Families!

Students had the opportunity to meet their teachers, explore their classrooms, and learn all about the exciting adventures that await them in fifth grade. The halls were filled with smiling faces, happy reunions, and excitement for the year ahead.

To make the evening even more special, we were treated to a beautiful rainbow over our school—a perfect reminder of the bright year ahead!

We can't wait to welcome the rest of our WES families for Meet the Teacher on Friday evening!

Today we had the privilege of celebrating our 2026–2027 WES Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Terrie Werner, at the District Teacher of the Year Breakfast!
Mrs. Werner, our incredible third grade teacher, exemplifies excellence, dedication, and a true passion for helping every student grow. Her positive impact reaches far beyond the classroom, and we are so proud to have her represent WES.

Teachers were back in the building today at WES, and it was so nice to see the halls filled with familiar faces again!
The excitement is building as we prepare for the 2026–2027 school year. Now all that's missing is our students!

This week we celebrated our New Woodland Staff Members after our New Staff Orientation! Woodland mentors and buddy teachers joined our new staff members for lunch!

Nurse Lauren Rotan has already been a caring and supportive presence at Woodland this past spring, and we're excited to officially welcome her for the 2026–2027 school year!

WES Faculty Council members met today in Downtown City of Greer to plan and prepare for the 26-27 School Year. We can’t wait to welcome our Wildcats back to school soon!
